Moving from Pass
Pass closes October 31. Your galleries don't have to.
Pass shuts down for good on October 31, 2026, and its galleries, print store and app go with it. Move to HeyShutter and our team does the move for you, free on any paid plan. Your clients get a new invitation from your studio, not from us.
Pass dates come from Pass's notice to its photographers and SLR Lounge's coverage, checked October 7, 2026.
October 31
What stops when Pass closes.
Every client link
Pass galleries, the Pass app and the print store all stop. Clients who never downloaded their photos lose them that day.
Your clients aren't told
The notice went to photographers. Letting each client know is left to you, and that's the part we take off your plate.
Lifetime plans too
Lifetime and yearly Pass plans end with everything else. There's nothing to keep paying for after October 31.
White-glove move
We move it. You keep shooting.
Free on any paid plan, from Pass or any other gallery platform.
Download from Pass
Download each gallery you want to keep before October 31. Your edited exports are all we need.
Share them with us
Send the folders by Dropbox, Google Drive or any download link, with a list of which client goes with which gallery.
We build your studio
Our team makes every gallery and its sets, adds your prices and watermark, and walks you through it before anyone is invited.
Clients hear from you
When you say go, each client gets an invitation from your studio's name with a link to their gallery.
Rather do it yourself? Make a gallery and drop the whole folder in. Subfolders named after your sets land in those sets.
Why Pass studios move to HeyShutter
- 0% on your sales on every paid plan, from $9 a month.

- A print store with your prices and blind drop ship from the lab.
- Booking, signed agreements and retainers in the same login.
- Face sort and selfie search for events and pageants.
- Drive backs up every memory card, so there are no hard drives to fill or lose.
- An email before every charge, and cancel any time from your settings.
Pass is suggesting Pic-Time
Pass is offering its photographers a move to Pic-Time, the company whose software Pass ran on. You're free to choose any platform. If you're weighing the two, here's how HeyShutter compares with Pic-Time, from Pic-Time's own pricing and help pages.
Pass and Pic-Time are trademarks of their owners. HeyShutter is not affiliated with either.
Questions
About moving from Pass.
Will my clients' Pass links work after October 31?
No. Every Pass link stops when Pass closes. Your clients get a new invitation from your studio on HeyShutter, and they choose their own password the first time they sign in.
What does the move cost?
Nothing on any paid plan. Paid plans start at $9 a month with a 14-day free trial, and charge 0% on your sales.
Do I have to move every gallery?
No. Move the galleries clients still use or buy from, and keep the rest on your own drive or in HeyShutter Drive.
Can I keep my print prices?
Yes. You start from a catalog built on lab costs and set your own retail prices. Orders wait for you to check the crop, then the lab ships to your client in plain packaging.
What if I've already missed the deadline?
Ask Pass support whether your files can still be retrieved. Any edited photos you still have on your computer or drives can come over the same way.
Move before October 31.
Tell us about your studio and we'll start your move this week.
