For your clients

Everything from their session, one tap away.

The app signs in to the same account clients use on your website, so favorites, purchases and downloads follow them everywhere.

Every gallery in one place

Weddings, families, minis and events, each in its own gallery inside their account.

A tap when it's ready

A notification from your app the moment a gallery is published, plus reminders before their session.

Saved straight to Photos

Purchased photos save to their camera roll, with ready-made Instagram, square and Story crops.

Favorites that sync

Hearts on the phone show up on your website and in your studio view, so you know what to print.

Book the next session

Your session types and open dates, with the agreement and retainer handled in the app.

Prints from the couch

Crop, choose a size and pay. You approve the crop before anything goes to the lab.

For you

Published under your name, owned by you.

Your app goes out under your own developer accounts. That's what puts your studio's name on the listing, and it means the listing stays yours.

Your name as the sellerThe store listing shows your studio, not a software company. Enroll as a business and Apple lists your business name.
Your listing and reviewsRatings and reviews build up on your listing, under your account.
Your icon and designWe design the icon, screens and store images around your brand.
Your client relationshipNotifications come from your app. Your clients never download anything with our name on it.

How it works

Four steps from brand to App Store.

01

Design

We design your icon, app screens and store listing from your logo, colors, fonts and photography.

02

Accounts

You enroll in the Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console and add us to your team. We walk you through both.

03

Build and review

We build, test and submit the app. Apple and Google each review it before it goes live.

04

Launch

Your app is live in both stores. Share the link, add it to your emails, and we keep it updated as HeyShutter grows.

Branded app

Design, build and launch on iPhone and Android

Includes your app icon, screen design in your brand, store listing copy and images, and submission to both stores. Apple and Google charge their own developer fees, paid directly to them: the Apple Developer Program is $99 a year and a Google Play developer account is a one-time $25.

Questions

About your app.

Why can't you publish it under HeyShutter's account?

Apple's App Review Guidelines say apps made from a commercial template or app generation service will be rejected unless the business the app represents submits them itself. Publishing under your account follows that rule, and it also puts your studio's name on the listing.

Should I enroll as an individual or a business?

If you have an LLC or other legal entity, enroll it as an organization. Apple then lists your business name as the seller. Apple asks organizations for a D-U-N-S number, which is free to request. As an individual, the listing shows your personal name.

Do my clients have to download the app?

No. Your client portal works in any browser, and clients can add it to their home screen. The app is for the clients who want notifications and the smoothest way to save and share.

Is the $2,500 a monthly charge?

No. It's a one-time fee for design and launch. Your HeyShutter plan covers the software behind it.

Can I change the design later?

Colors, fonts, your logo and the studio name inside the app follow your brand settings. Changing the app icon or store listing means a new submission, which we handle with you.
